Tasty Foods to Eat in Chicago

Deep Dish Pizza

Two Italian-American entrepreneurs of Chicago, Ike Sewell and Ric Riccardo, decided to create a pizza unlike the classic Italian Neapolitan pizza. In 1943, they opened up a new store, called Pizzeria Uno, which served the soon-to-be hit deep dish pizza with layers of tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, meats, and vegetables.

Brownies

Brownies were invented in 1893 at the historic Palmer House Hotel. When Bertha Palmer asked the kitchen staff to create a simple and portable desert, they came up with a walnut-studded, apricot-glazed brownie. Overtime, the brownie grew to be an extremely popular hit in Chicago and is now a beloved treat around the world.
